Securepoint, the Lüneburg-based provider of IT security solutions, has introduced an update with the latest version of its UTM software that revolutionizes the setup of VPN connections. With Adaptive Secure Connect (ASC), “Luna” enables a VPN setup process that is 100 times faster. In addition, the update introduces zero-touch enrollment of firewalls, enabling remote commissioning of Securepoint firewall products.

VPN in record time: Adaptive Secure Connect (ASC)

ASC virtually eliminates the need for complex manual configuration of VPN tunnels. Companies and IT service providers benefit from drastically reduced setup times, while the security and stability of connections remain guaranteed. Adaptive Secure Connect sets up the VPN connection completely automatically.

Remote management redefined: zero-touch enrollment for firewalls

Firewall management and provisioning are taken to a new level with zero-touch enrollment. Administrators can now commission devices completely remotely, which significantly reduces installation effort and enables flexible, location-independent configuration of Securepoint firewalls. Once installed at the customer's site and connected to the internet, the devices are set up online.

Fast TI connection for healthcare

Version 14, codenamed “Luna,” also strengthens the healthcare sector. The new TIProxy enables fast, reliable, and secure connection of card terminals and practice IT to the telematics infrastructure (TI). TI-Proxy not only protects the connectors, but can also provide the entire practice IT with a secure Internet connection.

Cluster management made easy

Another highlight of the update is the new cluster wizard, which greatly simplifies the configuration of (firewall) cluster installations. This speeds up the deployment and use of Securepoint firewall solutions, benefiting both IT service providers and customers.

With update 14.0.2 “Luna,” Securepoint is once again setting new standards in IT security and taking the next important step toward continuously simplifying and advancing the work of system houses and IT service providers with a new system featuring intelligent automation, optimized performance, and innovative remote management options.
