Malware, ransomware, executable macros and other critical content are identified and neutralised by intelligent, cloud-based services even before they are delivered to the mailbox. Links contained in the email are checked again on click to detect delayed attacks. If an email is not clearly good or bad, the integrated sandbox allows attachments and links to be tested in a secure environment. Thanks to S/MIME certificates, outgoing emails are securely encrypted and clearly certified.

Mail Security protects mailbox and server
Malware, ransomware, executable macros and other critical content are reliably recognised and rendered harmless by Securepoint Mail Security. It uses highly developed, self-learning algorithms that are constantly on the lookout for the latest threats and update themselves. In particular, fraudulent phishing emails are identified and employees are protected against social engineering.
This check takes place before the mail is delivered to the mail server. As a result, Mail Security also protects companies from DDOS attacks and relieves the burden on internal traffic.
If an email cannot be clearly classified as dangerous or harmless, Mail Security tests the behaviour of attachments in the integrated sandbox, a secure environment without a connection to the company's own network.

Thanks to its multi-sandbox approach and post-incident management system, Securepoint Mail Security offers one of the most effective defences against malware, spam and targeted attacks. In the event of a security incident, the system is alerted immediately. Emails, attachments and URLs that have already been delivered are analysed for up to 14 days.
Compared to the mail filter in the NextGen UTM firewall, the configuration effort required for Securepoint Mail Security is kept to a minimum, whilst maintaining the same high level of protection. Additional features are also available, such as Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) in the sandbox, immediate and retrospective scanning of potentially malicious links, and post-incident management.
To integrate Securepoint Mail Security into the data flow, you will need an active internet connection and your own email domain on a mail server that is accessible from the internet.
In order to route email traffic via Securepoint Mail Security, the MX records for the relevant domain must be updated. Furthermore, you must ensure that the receiving mail server is correctly configured to receive emails from Securepoint Mail Security.
