Securepoint acquires whitelisting provider seculution GmbH from Werl. With this first acquisition, Securepoint is specifically strengthening and expanding its IT security portfolio in the area of endpoint security and creating additional value for small and medium-sized customers.

Strategic strengthening

For over 20 years, seculution GmbH has been focusing on “application whitelisting” – a consistently preventive approach at the endpoint based on a patented automation process: Only explicitly authorized programs that have been assigned an individual hash may be executed on end devices. Unknown and uncategorized applications are blocked. seculution solutions are developed, hosted, and operated exclusively in Germany.

The technology developed by seculution is considered particularly suitable for organizations with high security and compliance requirements, such as healthcare, public administration, and critical infrastructures. These are fast-growing markets that Securepoint also focuses on.

With the acquisition of seculution, Securepoint is integrating this patented whitelisting technology into its existing security portfolio, which already includes firewalls, VPN gateways, mobile security, backup solutions, and awareness training.

Customers will benefit from an expanded security concept that protects networks, data, and end devices on multiple levels.
