In light of the growing challenges posed by cyberattacks, G DATA CyberDefense, IKARUS Security and Securepoint are pooling their expertise in the fields of malware detection, network security and managed security. Together, these three companies from the DACH region are sending a clear signal in support of digital sovereignty and trustworthy security solutions ‘Made in Europe’. The more robust a security chain is, the lower the systemic risks. Cybersecurity is the foundation of any sustainable digitalisation and thus a prerequisite for companies’ economic viability. Small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, are constantly seeking trustworthy partners who work with them on an equal footing. In future, medium-sized enterprises will receive a unified response to their questions regarding IT security.

“This partnership demonstrates how European cooperation provides concrete solutions to growing cyber risks and strengthens digital sovereignty. Decades of experience have shown that trustworthy technologies and close cooperation are key to reducing dependencies and building sustainable security. We must now consistently harness this strength and work together to shape a resilient digital future in Europe,” says Andreas Lüning, co-founder and CEO of G DATA CyberDefense.

“The importance of smaller, regional providers should not be underestimated, particularly in times of increasing market consolidation. Diversity is not a nice-to-have, but the foundation for innovation, competition and independence. It is therefore only logical that European companies should join forces more closely. Competition and cooperation are not mutually exclusive – quite the contrary. By turning competitors into partners, we can harness our strengths in an independent, transparent solution made in Europe,” says Joe Pichlmayr, CEO of IKARUS.

“This partnership sends a strong signal about the capabilities of European IT security providers. I have been a firm advocate of collaboration and trusting partnerships for many years, because it is only by working together that we can effectively advance digital sovereignty in Europe. I am therefore all the more delighted that we have been able to initiate this collaboration and, together with G DATA and IKARUS, offer an excellent solution. Two strong and trustworthy companies that, with their respective expertise, are making an important contribution to greater sovereignty. Together, we are thus creating powerful, professional and reliable security solutions for businesses in Germany and Europe. This collaboration demonstrates how cooperation strengthens the market, increases resilience and benefits all involved,” says René Hofmann, Managing Director of Securepoint.

As part of this partnership, the partners plan, among other things, to engage in an intensive exchange of threat intelligence and to jointly develop and integrate managed security services, particularly in the areas of managed extended detection and response and platform solutions. They also intend to strengthen their joint sales and marketing activities. Through this alliance, G DATA CyberDefense, IKARUS and Securepoint are underlining their shared vision: a secure digital future based on European technologies and values.
