Neue UTM-Version bringt wichtige neue Dienste

Mit der Version 12.3.3 wird der Schutz vor Malware und Spam durch unsere Firewalls noch besser. Verantwortlich dafür sind neue Antivirus- und Mail-Security-Technologien. Mit dem Update wechseln wir außerdem einen Lieferanten für wichtige Pattern bzw. Informationen innerhalb der Sicherheitsfunktionen unserer Cyber Defence Cloud aus.

Was ist passiert?
Das Unternehmen Cyren hat das Insolvenzverfahren beantragt. Der Bezug von neuen Pattern-Files auf UTM-Systemen vor 12.3.3 ist damit aus unserer Sicht für die Zukunft nicht mehr gewährleistet.

Wie wirkt sich das aus?
Folgende Dienste werden potenziell in ihrer Funktion eingeschränkt:

  • Mailrelay (SMTP): Spam- und Virenerkennung
  • Mail-Connector (POP3, POP3s): Spam- und Virenerkennung
  • HTTP-Proxy (Antivirus): Virenerkennung ist gestört
  • POP3-Proxy (POP3): Spam- und Virenerkennung

Aus diesen Gründen empfehlen wir eine Aktualisierung der UTM-Systeme schnellstmöglich vorzunehmen.
